On December 20 Dallas State Representative Roberto Alonzo lost his older brother and his grand-nephew in an accident on a south Texas fishing trip. Dallas County Democratic Judges Doug Skemp and Dan Patterson participated in the White Rock Marathon this past Sunday. Judge Skemp completed the 26.2 mile marathon in 4 hours and 16 minutes. Judge Patterson completed the 13.1 mile half marathon in 2 hours and 29 minutes.

Last Thursday long-time Democratic Party Precinct Chair and election judge Lillian Grace Cooper passed away in Dallas. She graduated from Crozier Tech High School and from SMU with a business degree as a Valedictorian. She was survived by a son, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and other family members. On May 13 the Reverend Dr. Marshall Earl Hodge passed away at 78, survived by his wife and three grandchildren.
