--New York Times, July 20
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay a tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the Law, justice, mercy and faith; these you should have done, and not leave the other undone. You blind guides, who strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel"
--Matthew 23:23-24

I think the best thing I've read on this was from one of our GLBT papers here. "Why are so many enemies of gay rights so enthusiastic about the nominee?" They keep telling us we can't tell what his true positions are since he was 'for hire' but then why are the conservative right folks jumping up and down...?
