In Memory: Fred Baron

Fred Baron, noted Dallas attorney who was a key fundraiser for the Democratic Party at all levels, passed away at 61 from cancer last Thursday. The DMN article is here. A memorial service will be held today, Monday, November 3, at 4 PM at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home to celebrate Fred's memory. Dallas County Democratic Chair Darlene Ewing has posted her own tribute to him on the DCDP website.

Ken Molberg Attacked By Pit Bull

Our former Dallas County Chair, SDEC dean, and candidate for the 95th Civil District Court was attacked and bitten by a dog when campaigning in Dallas on Saturday. He got 17 stitches and was back home that evening. The DMN story is here. Steve Tillery adds "Ken wants everyone one to know that he is OK and to not let this stop or delay any campaign efforts. The pit bull has been quarantined for observation after biting the well known Trail Lawyer and reports are that the pit bull was wearing bright red lipstick."

CELEBRATE Tuesday Night!

Join the Dallas County Democratic Party, the Dallas County Young Democrats, and the Stonewall Democrats for the Election Night Watch Party of the Century!

The weather promises to be beautiful (77 and sunny!), several bands have donated their talent and their time to our cause, and the change this country needs is imminent!

Johnny Goes To Bollywood

Watch this hilarious parody of a music video from India, done as a "campaign video" for McCain-Palin, on YouTube as "McCain and Palin's Crazy Indian Dancefest". Watch for Sarah with the gun. Brandon Muller says he did this in one day with no rehearsals, but it looks at least as good as the source material. (You may appreciate it more if you watch the start of a "fractured English" subtitled version of the original at this link.)
